13 Cameroonians Among the Top 100 Most Inspiring Black Women

A total of 13 Cameroonians have earned a spot among the Top 100 Most Inspiring French-Speaking Black Women of the 21st Century, as revealed in the second edition of the compilation presented by the Association Femmes Inspirantes.

The women entrepreneurs featured in this distinguished list include Kate Fotso, the driving force behind Telcar Cocoa, Senator Françoise Puene, Caroline Sack, Fadimatou Ousmanou, Marthe Carine Ndjokou, Nadine Kouamoua, Rolande Kammogne, and Valérie Neim.

Noteworthy executives and business leaders on the list comprise Jacqueline Nkembe, the President of Cosumaf at Cemac, along with Anne Catherine Tchokonte, Leatissia Enonga-Dissake, and Yvonne Bettkober.

In the category of Law, Health, and Safety, Dr. cardiologist Mathilde Mbouck stands as the sole Cameroonian representative among inspiring women.

Jessica Makosso, the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Femmes Inspirantes, emphasised that the ranking serves to “encourage those who dare, boost those who doubt, and support those who dive.” She further highlighted that the compilation specifically showcases female leadership and the remarkable stories of women who stand out.

The Association of Inspiring Women serves as a platform for highlighting the significant actions taken by women. According to the association, women often find themselves confined to traditional feminine roles, limited in their career choices, and sometimes relegated to the status of housewives.
