An explosion at a metal factory in Douala today has injured 17 people, Cameroon Tribune has reported.
The explosion occurred at Acero Metal Sarl, a metal factory located at Bonassama neighborhood in Bonaberi, Douala, at about 3pm on Monday, March 20.
Reports say 10 seriously injured persons were taken to the Douala General Hospital, while 7 less critical cases have been hospitalized at the Bonassama District Hospital.
Administrative authorities led by Littoral Governor, Dieudonne Ivaha Diboua, visited the scene of the incident and later stopped at the hospital to console victims.
The cause of the explosion is yet to be determined.
