20th May Dialogue Series: Stand Up For Cameroon Puts Northern Regions Under Scanner

Due to the novel coronavirus pandemic, Cameroon did not have public celebrations to mark its 48th National Day last May 20.

Kah Walla and the Stand Up For Cameroon initiative, however, took it upon themselves to educate Cameroonians on the essence of National Day as well as other key aspects of national life.

This is done through a series of discourses christened “the 20 May Dialogues”.

This Thursday, May 28, 2020 at 8:00 p.m., Kah Walla and the Stand Up For Cameroon team will be live on Facebook to address burning issues affecting the lives of the population of the Northern Regions – Adamawa, North and Far North Regions.

Tomorrow’s edition has as theme “the Northern Regions: State of Affairs and Paths to the Future”.

Stand Up For Cameroon says its panellists include natives and persons who have expert knowledge on the goings-on in the regions. Political activists will also be part of the discourse.

Topics to be discussed include COVID-19, poverty, famine, insecurity, under-schooling, Boko Haram, slavery, early marriage, inadequate infrastructure, and difficult access.

Stand Up For Cameroon says the issues that will come under focus are “difficulties which require a global response and which we Cameroonians are capable of addressing in order to reconcile the nation Cameroon.”
