Three boys are currently being held in police custody for having committed the most unimaginable act one can think of, raping an 85-year-old woman in Ombessa, in the Center Region.
The grand mother in question was in her farm at the time that the terrible trio surrounded her and committed the evil act. She was rushed to the hospital, but later died.
This incident, which is not an isolated one, has shocked many persons in Ombessa. The rape situation on elderly women in the village has grown so alarming in recent times that grand mothers no longer go to their farms, while those who dare to do so, never do so without a hand weapon for protection.
