Some inhabitants of Douala today turned down requests to take vaccines against cholera arguing that the government was using a trick to vaccinate people against COVID-19. The ongoing vaccination by medical personnel is set to end on March 30th.


Some Bamenda city dwellers whose houses were demolished due to the expansion of roads say they need to be compensated by the City Council. Several businesses and other private structures have been destroyed for roads to be expanded, a project financed by the Cameroon government in collaboration with the World Bank.

The North West region of Cameroon has recorded close to 40 deaths in the month of March as a result of COVID-19. Governor, Adoph Lele L’Afrique while distributing facemasks said the figure indicates that COVID-19 preventive measures should be taken more seriously to reduce the number of infected persons and deaths.
