ADF ground zero general calls for unity at home, diaspora

By Ashu Tidings

The topmost General of the Ambazonia Defence Forces (ADF), General Efang alias Big Number has in a televised address called for unity within the ranks of the Ambazonia independence movement.

Speaking March 6, 2021, from an unmarked location in Cameroon’s minority English-speaking regions, the overall ground zero commander of the ADF said the Ambazonia Interim Government (IG) and the Ambazonia Governing Council (AGovC) should unite and push out the occupier.

“Great Ambazonians, I come to you today by the grace of God. I know we are in a war in Ambazonia. I know that some of us have done many wrong things to you the population. The prayers you used to say for us have reduced. I come today to ask for your prayers. Some of us will try to make our brothers understand that what they are doing is not correct. We will caution them, advise them. Please continue to support us,” said Big Number.

“I will also talk about diasporans, our parents who are out of the country. We have the IG, the AGovC. We beg you to come as one people so we can have one focus in this revolution. That divided spirit will not help us in anything. Please try to work as one. We on ground zero are begging. The IG and the AGovC, we beg you in the name of God. I will go now to the forces on the ground. You are hailed for sacrificing your lives to fight. This fight we are fighting is to defend ourselves. President Biya’s troops shot the first gun. If you go to Kondengui, you will see many of our brothers detained for simply expressing themselves. They are all innocent,” said the fighter.

He said, “The time has come for us to unite ourselves and push the occupier out of our country. I beg you in the name of God. All the general sin Mezam, Fako, the moment has come for us to unite and gain our country”.

“When the Cameroon forces come to fight us, they come in their thousands. Let us unite ourselves and fight them back. Cameroon is using even forest guards and warders to fight us. Let us combine our forces and fight back. Let us collaborate. I am one of the commanders of ADF as an Ambazonian. La Republique du Cameroun has many forces but they always attack us as a united squad. We need to fight back for our rights and ensure that our brothers in prison can have their freedom soon. Sisiku Ayuk Tabe Julius is in prison because he stood up for Ambazonia. Many others have died because they stood to fight and speak the truth for their land of birth.”

General Efang called on the traditional rulers in the North West and South West Regions to support the Ambazonia struggle instead of siding with the “occupier”, La Republique du Cameroun.

“Before we started this war, we went to our traditional rulers to make them know that enough is enough. Unfortunately, some of our fons and chiefs are betraying us. They are still working with La Republique. Those who are working with La Republique have no place in Ambazonia,” General Efang said. “The time has come for us to work together on one track. Let us wake up from slumber now before the war affects some of you, dear traditional rulers.”

“Many of our brothers have died because of some of our people who want to enrich themselves in this revolution,” he furthered.
Efang urged the population of Cameroon’s Anglophone region to support the Ambazonia fighters so that Biya and his force of occupation can be crushed.

“I want to beg all our own people to stop feeding La Republique du Cameroun with information. Why help them to kill your people? The time has come for us to work as one. La Republique has killed our people, burnt our houses among others. Let us stand up and speak one language. Let us not discriminate. No matter your tribe, let us fight together. Let us stop all this infighting. Let us push out the occupier and not fight against ourselves,” Efang concluded.
