AFCON Qualification:
Cape Verde humiliates Cameroon 3 – 1

The Blue Sharks of Cape Verde have defeated the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon three goals to one today Friday, March 26, 2021.

Cameroon’s Kunde Malong opened the score at the 14th minutes but the Indomitable Lions failed to maintain the grip on the Blue Sharks.

Cape Verde practically dominated the game with the Lions demonstrating uncoordinated football styles despite early impressive moves.

The outcome of the day 5 African Cup of Nations qualification match places Cape Verde with 7 points in the group while Cameroon maintains the lead with ten points. The Indomitable Lions needed a point to concretize its position.

Despite this, Cameroon as a host nation for the African Cup of Nations next year is eligible to participate in the AFCON.

This is the first defeat Cameroon football coach Antonio Conceicao has registered.

The Lions of Cameroon will take on Rwanda at Douala Japoma Stadium on March 30th where tactical errors committed are expected to be corrected.
