African Women’s Volleyball Championship: Cameroon suffers first defeat against Egypt

Cameroon has been defeated for the first time, at the ongoing African Women’s Volleyball Championship.

Their Egyptian opponent defeated them 3-1.

It was during a game on Friday, August 18, 2023, in Yaounde, Centre Region of Cameroon.

Cameroon is hosting the competition which started on August 16th.

The scores of the match are as follows:

First set
Egypt 25 – Cameroon 16

Second set
Egypt 25 – Cameroon 19

Third set
Egypt 21 – Cameroon 25

It should be recalled that Cameroon won Nigeria and Burundi in their two prevoius games.

The won Nigeria 3 set to 0.

They also beat Burundi three sets to zero in their Group A opening game.

The African Women’s Volleyball Championship is a sport competition for national teams, currently held biannually and organized by the African Volleyball Confederation, the Africa volleyball federation.
