Vocal academic cum politician , Prof Charles Messanga Nyamding dismissed from the Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement, CPDM, party yesterday has reiterated his support for President Paul Biya.
To note that it is Paul Biya who signed decision yesterday, dismissing the CPDM Central Committee member from the his political party.
He was dismissed after he was summoned by the party’s disciplinary body days back.
Messanga is the only one dismissed among three comrades summoned by the Mafany Musonge-led disciplinary committee.
Questioned on the decision, Messagna said he is yet to be informed though the decision is already on social media. “If this decision is confirmed, it means that the conservatives have won… It’s an organized political crime” he remarked.
Nyamding was summoned for his regular and public criticism of his party comrades, often referring to some as white collar robbers.
Still considering what move to make, Prof Messanga in an outing said, he will plead his case before the national chairman, President Biya to whom he pledges allegiance.
“I can tell you that I remain a Biyaist. I will never betray my political master, Paul Biya…who too is a victim of his own system” he stated.
The latest move by the ruling party to kick out the critic is one of his many battles fought in the party.
Such have always put critics at loggerheads with many top personalities.
