After Onana’s brilliant Inter Milan performance: Samuel Eto’o extends praises, calls him ‘my son’

The president of the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT), Samuel Eto’o has praised Onana and addressed him as his son shortly after Inter Milan goalkeeper’s performance at the Champions League last night.

The Inter goalkeeper had earlier fallen out of favor with the Cameroon national team.

“He’s my son, he grew up in my academy… He was a good boy, I have so many emotions when I remember his debut. He’s as good with his feet as Julio Cesar,” Samuel Eto’o said.

He made these statements while reacting to the performance of André ONANA in the European Champions League and in particular the match between Inter Milan and AC Milan this Wednesday, May 11.

The game ended 0-2 in favour of Inter Milan.

Andre Onana is the first Inter Milan goalkeeper to achieve 7 clean sheets in a single edition of the Champions League.

However, since the Qatar 2022 World Cup, he has been suspended from the national team by FECAFOOT for indiscipline.

It should equally be recalled that on April 9, the Minister of Sports and Physical Education, Narcisse Mouelle Kombi wrote to the president of Inter Milan, club of André Onana to request that he be released if Cameroon requested it.
