Ahead of senatorial election: Elung Paul Che, Ngolle Ngolle fracas widens

The ongoing feud between former Minister Elvis Ngolle Ngolle and the deputy Secretary General at the Presidency, Elung Paul Che is said to have widened.

Recall that both personalities had almost gone physical at each other during a meeting in Buea dedicated to the selection of candidates for the forthcoming senatorial election.
The CPDM heavyweights had publicly disagreed over the choice of candidate to represent Kupe Muanenguba at the polls.

While Minister Ngolle Ngolle is said to have backed incumbent Senator Agnes Ntube, Minister Elung Paul reportedly settled for one Hilda, a school principal.

Matters got worse when both personalities traded words at a meeting in Buea.

Minister Ngolle Ngolle’s candidate was however retained for the exercise.
Following the development, the fracas now appears to have taken a new twist.

We gathered that Minister Paul Elung Che has since vowed to secretly campaign against the CPDM candidate for Kupe Muanenguba division.
Paul Elung who has served as the Director General of the Treasury, is quoted by close sources to have committed to campaign against the party in the area.

Councillors to vote at the election in Kupe Muanenguba include those from Nguti, Tombel and Bangem sub divisions.

We gathered that while other divisions are working hard to achieve 100% victory at the senatorial election, Kupe Muanenguba is at a crossroads.
