Cameroonian gospel singer Alexis Emile to release Eyingeh on 12 October

US-based Cameroonian gospel-soul singer Alexis Emile, known as The Musicman, is set to release “Eyingeh (Joy)” on Monday, 12 October 2026, continuing the release campaign for his “I Believe” project.

The release is scheduled for 6am Cameroon time. It follows “Mega Mega”, which came out on 24 August, as the singer introduces material recorded since his return to music after a break to focus on business and family.

Originally from Muambong in Kupe-Muanenguba Division, in Cameroon’s South West Region, Emile works across gospel and soul, drawing on Christian faith and his Bakossi cultural background.

His release announcement says filming has been completed for nine music videos from the project, with “Eyingeh” the next release in the campaign.

Early albums and a break from music

Emile released his first single, “Mud De Bahd”, on 11 October 2014. Initially accompanied by a visualiser, the song preceded his debut album, “Wuru Wuru Woman”, released in Maryland, United States, on 6 December that year.

A second album, “Miracles”, followed on 16 September 2016, also in Maryland. In 2017, he stepped back from his music career to devote more time to his family and entrepreneurial work.

He returned in 2022, releasing the official music video for “Mud De Bahd” on 23 September. Further releases included “What Shall I Give to the Lord” and “Yesu Amaade Nson”, presented as “Jesus Has Done All the Job”. Both were accompanied by music videos on his YouTube channel.

Bakossi recognition and work beyond music

Emile has received the Bakossi Gottalent Award for Best Bakossi Musician.

Alongside music, he runs Mega Consulting LTD, which provides tax, loan and other financial services. He also owns Mega Voice Recording LTD, his recording business.

Alexis Emile can be found on YouTube, Instagram, TikTok and Facebook.
