“All recommendations of the Major national dialogue will be applied”: Jacques Fame Ndongo; Cameroon’s Higher Education Minister

Cameroon’s minister of higher education is optimistic that all recommendations taken during the major national dialogue will be implemented. Jacgues Fame Ndongo in a telephone interview with Radio France International Friday October 18th said no recommendation will end at the “drawer of the government”.
To the national communication secretary of the ruling Cameroon People Democratic Movement, CPDM party, separatist leaders should have themselves to blame for not taking part at national dialogue. “They were invited to the dialogue table but they refused to come. You cannot want dialogue and stay away when it is time. Either you are in or out”.

Professor Jacques Fame Ndongo fails to accept that what took place in Yaounde was a national monologue.
On the question if the president of Cameroon ordered the release of Prof. Maurice Kamto and other militants under pressure, Jacques Fame Ndongo said wether it was pressure or not, the most important thing is that the militants have been released. For him, Kamto’s continuous contestation of the victory of president Paul Biya during the 2018 presidential elections is what a politician and a political party wishing to become a president should do.
