Amba boys storm market in West region, set cars, motorcycles ablaze

Separatist fighters have reportedly attacked a market in the locality of Pia, Menoua division of the West region.

The attack took place today Friday, July 1, 2022.

According to sources, the incident took plac at around 9 a.m.



The armed Amba boys are said to have stormed the market on board motorcycles.

Heavily armed, they began shooting several times in the air, giving sellers and buyers a few minutes to vacate the premises, which resulted in a stampede.

The separatist fighters did set not only cars on fire, but did same with motorcycles.

They are reported to have looted shops as well.

However, no human loss was recorded following the incident.
