André Onana remains the best goalkeeper – Rigobert Song

The Head Coach of Indomitable Lions of Cameroon has described André Onana, as one of the best goalkeepers in the world.

Rigobert Song was speaking on Thursday, March 23rd, 2023 in a pre-match press conference — ahead of the team’s encounter with Namibia on Friday.

The encounter is part of qualification games ahead of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON.

“The doors remain open for André Onana, he is among the best goalkeepers today,” said Rigobert Song.

Andre Onana resigned in December 2022, after he was suspended by Song for indiscipline during the 2022 Qatar World Cup.

Following his suspension, and eventual replacement, the Indomitable Lions went on to secure their best performance in the FIFA World Cup in over 20 Years (since 1990).
