Andre Onana Turns Down Lucrative Saudi Offer, Manchester United Makes Bid

By Washira Helene

Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana has turned down a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr FC in the hopes of securing a move to Manchester United this summer.

Current reports from Sky Sports confirm that the English team has “made a bid worth £38.5m” for the Inter Milan goalkeeper.

The Cameroon international’s contract with Italian side Inter Milan ends at this month and is available for a free transfer. He has been linked with a number of clubs, including Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Tottenham.

However, Onana is said to be keen on a move to Old Trafford in order to work with Erik ten Hag, who he played under at Ajax. The Dutchman is now the manager of Manchester United and is looking to strengthen his squad ahead of the new season.

Al Nasar was willing to offer Onana a significant salary, but he has opted to turn down the offer in order to stay in Europe and play in the European Champions League. He is also said to be keen on a move to a club where he will be guaranteed regular playing time.

Manchester United are still in talks with Inter over a deal for Onana. Although United’s opening bid of around £38.5m falls short of Inter’s £50m valuation, there is a willingness on both sides to reach an agreement.

With the bid made earlier today, the Red Devils are confident that they will be able to complete the signing in the coming weeks.
