Anglophone Crisis: 80-year-old man killed by military to be buried on Saturday

On May 30, 2021, Pa Mungong Victor was killed by the military during an invasion which they carried out in Nchum, Bafut.

According to witness accounts, government forces who had stormed the village in search of Ambazonian Fighters searched every house on their path.

It is said that when they got to Pa Mungong’s compound, they stood outside and fired as many bullets into the house through the windows and doors.

The bullets hit Pa Mungong and his wife who were inside. They both were rushed to the Manji District Hospital after the invaders had left. Unfortunately, Pa Mungong gave up the ghost few moments after he arrived the hospital.

He will be buried on June 19, 2021 at Nchum, Bafut. His wife meanwhile survived her own wounds and is currently responding to treatment.
