Anglophone crisis: Amba Boys mercilessly torture woman accused of dating soldier

A video of a woman who has been stripped naked and is being beaten by armed men, has gone viral.

In the 30 seconds footage which began making the rounds Friday, men believed to be separatist fighters could be heard accusing the woman of having an affair with an ‘Ekelebe’, a word commonly used by separatists to refer to a soldier.

It is not clear where the video taken but sources say the incident took place in the restive Anglophone regions of Cameroon.

The lady’s identity has also not been known. it remains unclear if she survived the torture.

it is not the first time Amba boys are targeting women accused of having affairs with soldiers amidst the ongoing armed conflict in the Anglophone regions.

last year, Tumasang Comfort, a lady in her 30s was tortured to death by separatist fighters in the town of Muyuka. A Video of her gruesome murder had gone viral prompting global condemnation.
