Anglophone Crisis: Four killed in West region as separatists attack

Four persons have been killed in Galim, a locality in Cameroon’s French-speaking West region.

This was in an attack by men believed to be separatist fighters last night at the military post in the locality found in the Bamboutos Division.

Sources say while four of the soldiers were killed in the attack, a number of the attackers were also neutralised.

Since the start of the socio-political crisis in the English-speaking parts of the country, attacks by armed groups in the French-speaking areas bordering the Anglophone regions are fast becoming a norm.

The West region in particular has witnessed a number of such attacks, with one of them recorded in January in the Babadjou locality.
