Uncertainty still looms in the town of Kumba as another school incident has taken many surprise. This was the kidnapping of four pupils by suspected separatist fighters.
The pupils were kidnapped by gunmen who stormed Government Bilingual High school while they were writing their Common Entrance Examination.
According to reports on Canal 2 International, they stormed the examination halls, firing some gunshots in the air before taking the pupils away to an undisclosed location.
The Divisional Officer for Kumba 1 came to the scene of the kidnap and reassured the worried and frightened students and parents about the measures being taken to ensure a calmer atmosphere.
Despite the scare however, the examination continued under tight security. The D.O equally assured the parents of the kidnapped pupils that an operation would be launched to track down kidnappers and free the captives without harm.
