Anglophone Crisis: Ndop Teachers Under Siege

Government teachers in Ndop, North West Region say they are being used as scape goats in the Anglophone conflict.

It is revealed that at least 15 Government teachers in Ndop are being held in captivity by Ambazonian fighters for teaching despite their warnings.

Meanwhile, the Senior Divisional Officer of Ndop has insisted that the teachers must continue teaching despite the threats made by the Ambazonian fighters.

The SDO has also gone further to suspend the salaries of all Government school teachers in Ndop, all the while ignoring the need for their safety.

“Teachers are being killed like flies and the so called SDO says if we die, we will go and see Jesus Christ. What a world we live in.” Laments an affected teacher.

With his insistence on teachers resuming their academic duties, the SDO has created a center teachers have been asked to go to and continue in their pedagogic duties.
