Anglophone Crisis: “The People’s Will Can Be Delayed, Not Killed” –Tibor Nagy

A retired U.S. Diplomat, Tibor Nagy has indicated that the Cameroon government’s present policies of warfare, as a strategy to combat Southern Cameroons secessionists, will rather aid and facilitate the realization of the Independent State of Ambazonia.

Former U.S. Assistant Secretary for African Affairs, Tibor Nagy made the statement on his tweeter page, yesterday November 16th, 2021.

The Hungarian-born American furthers that the aim of forcefully suppressing a perceived hostility is to restore peace, not to destroy relevant heritages of the supposed enemy.

According to the appointee of Former U.S. President, Bill Clinton, the Cameroon government’s military strategy to conquer Ambazonia separatists will rather create more secessionist fighters.

He adds that drawing back past events, it has been proven that the usage of arms only delays a people’s will, but cannot kill the people’s will.

His tweet reads: “Cameroon government’s current policies will actually speed the creation of #Ambazonia. “Pacification” means bringing peace, not scorched earth. The military approach only creates more Secessionists. Past precedents prove bullets delay, not kill the people’s will”.
