Anglophone crisis:
Four security elements killed, others injured, missing in Otu attack

Four security elements have lost their lives in an attack in Otu, a locality in Eyumojock Subdivision in Cameroon’s South West region.

Reports say the mixed contingent of security personnel was on patrol on Monday, June 14, when they got ambushed by armed men believed to be seperatist fighters.

Of the victims, are two police and two Gendarme officers.

Reports say three military men and one police officer were also injured in the said ambush. The injured are currently receiving medical attention.

Three police officers and one gendarme are said to have been unaccounted for as at yesterday, and are believed to have escaped into the bushes.

Government and the army are yet to make any official utterances on the incident, but a search for the missing is said to be underway.
