Anglophone IDP requests financial support to treat his father shot by military in Nwa

Pa Dickbue Oben from Him village in Nwa subdivision is currently in Bafoussam in desperate need of medical aid as he got intentionally shot in the leg by Cameroonian soldiers over a month ago.

According to reliable information reaching Mimi Mefo Info from sources close to the victim, Pa Dickbue Oben’s home was invaded by soldiers over a month ago.

The reason for the invasion was due to the fact that Pa Dickbue had a son who once was a separatist fighter, but who had long abandoned the struggle and escaped to Nigeria where he now resides.

The soldiers tried forcing the elderly man to tell them where his son was. Unable to get any valid information about his son’s whereabouts, they shot him in the leg and warned villagers around against taking him to any medical center.

“They promised hell to whosoever was going to carry the man to any hospital for any treatment…,” testifies an anonymous source close to Pa Dickbue.

The old man spent almost an entire month in Nwa with an ailing wound, till his son who resides in Bafoussam, West Region smuggled him out of the North West Region to Bafoussam.

He has spent several weeks at a hospital in Bafoussam, and according to information from his son, Pa Dickbue’s condition keeps getting worse by the day.

He has also complained of shortage of finances to see through his father’s treatment in Bafoussam.

He has pleaded for Cameroonians of goodwill to help him cope with the treatment cost of his father whom he says is in perpetual pain in Bafoussam.
