Anglophone youths pay tribute to victims of Kumba killings in emotional poems

W. E Richardson has penned an emotional poem on today’s mass killing at a school in Kumba, South West region of Cameroon, which left six children dead and several others injured.

He writes:

O, Kumba!
The fountain of river Meme.
What have you done?
Why the carnage?
Will this poem sooth your pains?

The world has lost its head,
It seems we have reached our end.
What crime for these school children?

O, Kumba!
The treasure house of South West.
How could they defile your land with red ink?
What did you do?
Would these verses mend your heart torn in pieces?

The world has gone mute,
watching such a cruel massacre
What crime for these school children?

O, Kumba!
Beat the mourning drum,
Let the land gather to behold the deed.
O, beasts of no Nation!
Why the massacre of innocent souls,
What crime for these children?
The quest for education?

O, soul brothers!
Is there anything more devastating
Than watching a country caught in a senseless war?
The world has ignored our plea…
But
Nemesis will hearken to our cries.

But who the hell are these beasts of no nation?

Nchifor Khan on his part is asking what next?

Those things we only heard
Happening in places far away
Are now rocking our land
Piercing our hearts everyday
After Ngarbuh, Kumba bled
Kids’ blood paint the town red
But what next?

We must moan and groan
These kids who went to learn
But received bullets in the head
Their books painted with their blood
But what next?

Like these school kids
Many have been sacrificed
For what they know not
For a crime they didn’t commit
But what next?

As usual we all condemn
War mongers apportion blame
But beyond the criticism
But beyond the blame game
But what next?

Another Tribute to the victims of the Kumba massacre by Nkwenti Jude

Oh Kumba oh kumba ?

The famous green town has been covered with blood ?

There were just kids
holding their pens and books as their only weapon

With education as their only passport for the future

With the sound of guns there were
Scared they cried out with their loudest voices but nobody come to their rescue

Their brains was blown out for the vultures to feed

?
I can see a deep hole separating the body apart

With the heart pumping blood out to the mother Earth
?

But with hopes to live again the survivers keep fighting for their lives ?
All we pray for is peace

Kumba in Blood” by Tumenta Clinton.

No reason to smile,
No reason to laugh,
Thousand reasons to cry.

The green city has turned red.
Kumba sinks in Blood
Blood of sackless souls,
Children, who nothing is what they know,
Have found themselves in what they know nothing.

Ngarbuh was barbecued,
Now, Kumba is butchered.
“Our land is but now a butchery”
24 Oct 2020 makes History.

Oh Cameroes! Oh Kumba!
Blood has flooded your land.
Assassins have invaded.
In broad day, they came through the front door,
And did the unimaginable.

God! Thou art above the skies.
Drop a rain, and let it wash the Land.

“Dreadful Tides of our Days”

?Ohhhhh!! Mother Francisca you were once a place of beauty……..does thy beauty now sleep in the pool of innocent oil and tears.
?Will the lions now find refuge in the sheep’s Manger,
Demi gods of our days, tregedies of sympathy. I curse the day thou were named…..

?Innocent sheep’s now bleed the pains and sorrows of mischief.
Oh!! Poor fate I hate you. The Grace of the merciless is evil but the tears of the humble hearts shall be praised.
?No peace for the wicked I write in tears
?No joy for the sinner my heart breaks. Poor are the innocent books an pens for yours is the kingdom of God. Thy families now pray
?”laba Saba Tani”?

If wishes were horses…. Lazarus will come forth again.

?Rest in the Bossom of the lord poor mates….you were once like us and some day we will be like you.

?Woe to them that deep their hands in fresh honey?for the same bees that produce honey will soon consume it.

?When the sun shall finally set and the rings on our norses and the harness on our backs vanished.

?The fruitful Feild of England shall be green Again.

A poem. IBRAHIM from Bamenda.

The “run”

When are we going to stop running? As the “tu tu tu tu” (sounds of gunshots) keeps sounding, boys and girls all over the street as t he tutu increase,

Oooh! Cameroon, what’s the cause of all this shooting? No one knows but on the run. Is heaven aware of this?

Oh! Heaven has abandoned man for destiny. Schools are put a blaze students on the run while teachers are butchered butchered not by the enemies but by members of the same house,

What a pathetic situation in Ngong and sawa as brother butchers another, and heaven watches in vain as we run and cry for redemption and peace.

Is there not any another moses to be sent the second coming as promised, could the story behind the big book be true? We are now numbered, Death has made feast in every household.

The world is not place to live in, its a house meant for slaughtering. the main actors on the field should knows human life is important.

I Am KUMBA by Ekokobe Jacobae Fuankea

That day, I went to school and never came back “sorry Dad, sorry mom but I was caught in a conflict I never asked for ”.

Today 24/10/20, I curse my nationality as a Cameroonian because 8 of us were killed for performing are RIGHT as Humans

To Opposition parties, Political Elite, Political Analysts, Political Activist , N.G.Os, Musicians and Popular Figures in the Country, I do not come to you as a human but as a demise child ? ? you are not doing enough to End the blood sed in the Anglophone regions,
Instead all you do is come out to say “I CONDEM”when INNOCENT civilians and CHILDREN are been killed.
Those words Cannot bring back a single life lost, what we need in the Crisis is ACTION ✅ not WORDS ❎

IF words can bring someone back I and my friends would have been back to our lovely families but NO we are in the Cold house waiting for a date?
But Action can bring this can bring this conflict to an End.

I challenge you all for a PEACEFUL PROTEST,come one come all.
Let’s stay on the street till a positive solution is created for the Anglophone crisis, this is our country NO one is coming to fix this country for us.
Cameroonians wake up from slumber, what surd have been done long ago surd be done now it’s better to be late than never.

Do this for the sake of our friends who need to go back to school.
Do this so our families can satisfy.
Do this so our souls might find peace.
Do this for the sake of all Demise
Do this to stop the blood sed.
Do this to End Anglophone crisis.
Do this for a new Cameroon ??.

My condolence to the bereaved families.
May the souls of the departed Rest In Peace ✝️ ?

My the voice of the departed be heard.
