Another video has emerged of two young girls engaged in a fierce, dirty fight. They have not been identified, but a video showing them in a fight went viral on Tuesday, August 29, 2023.
Sources confirmed to MMI that the fight erupted early today at the Village Village neighbourhood in Douala, Littoral Region of Cameroon, following a rivalry over a male suitor.
An amateur video of the fight obtained by MMI shows the two girls almost stripped naked, soaked in watery mud, struggling to overpower each other.
While a curious crowd watched from a distance, cheering them on, some could be seen trying to settle the fight.
Fighting amongst ladies over boyfriends is becoming rampant in towns across Cameroon.
One in a series
This morning’s incident comes after the beating to near death of a young girl in Mabanda, Douala, by six other ladies over a boyfriend.
Marie Therese Ngolingock was attacked by six girls who tortured, shaved, and stripped her naked before pouring her with hot water, leaving her face deformed.
She was rushed to a health facility, where she is responding to treatment.
A police investigation led to the arrest of three of the attackers, who are currently in detention pending interrogation.
They include; 21-year-old Tuete Fogue Morelle Mesbine, 19-year-old Adiaba Mbessa Jeanne, and 17-year-old Foh Ndjol Zomedel.
Operations are ongoing to track the other three.
It should be recalled that a similar incident was also recorded last year in Molyko, Buea, the capital city of the South West region.
A young lady, after being lured by a group of three girls, was tortured, shaved, and stripped naked for allegedly having an affair with the boyfriend of one of the aggressors.
They were all arrested, charged, and sentenced to prison by the law court.
