Archbishop of Bamenda Visits and Consoles Traders of Bamenda Main Market

The Archbishop of Bamenda, His Grace Andrew Nkea, paid a surprise visit to the Bamenda Main Market on Tuesday, March 12, showing solidarity and support. The purpose of the visit was to provide comfort to the traders affected by a recent fire that destroyed the market, resulting in the loss of at least 300 shops.

While on his visit, Archbishop Nkea made sure to personally bless the traders and provide them with words of comfort.

“His presence brought a sense of joy and reassurance to us” said a trader.

As Archbishop Nkea bid farewell to the Bamenda Main Market, he shared a powerful message of courage and faith with the traders. He reminded them of the unwavering presence of God, saying, “No matter the difficulties that come our way, we should remember that God will never abandon his people.”

This visit is part of Archbishop Nkea’s ongoing support for the community in the aftermath of the tragic fire incident. He had encouraged those impacted to remain hopeful and have faith in God’s plan. Encouraging the traders to draw inspiration from the Book of Job in the Holy Bible, he urged them to find strength in their faith and come together in times of hardship.

The recent fire at the Bamenda Main Market is the second incident to hit the area within a short period, following another fire that occurred at a clothing shop on Commercial Avenue.

The visit from the Archbishop and his sincere message bring a ray of hope to the traders and the entire community of Bamenda. It serves as a gentle nudge to seek comfort in faith, unite as one, and remain resilient in times of adversity. With the market showing signs of improvement, Archbishop Nkea’s support and words of encouragement are sure to deeply impact everyone affected.
