Archbishop Samuel Kleda begins Dispatching COVID-19 Treatment Countrywide

There is hope on the horizon for Cameroon’s over 2,000 COVID-19 patients.

The Archbishop of Douala, Samuel Kleda says his herbal treatment for the virus will be available for all by Monday May 18.

Addressing the product shortage recorded days ago caused by high demand, Archbishop Kleda says more has been produced thanks to donations from persons of goodwill.

“At the beginning, we had some difficulties, because it was necessary to implement a production system in large quantities … But these past few days, we have no problem” says the prelate.

With huge consignments already sent to Bafoussam and soon Yaounde, the Archbishop says “we are sending the product to where there are many infections. Everyone will have the product from Monday.”

The clergyman who has several years of experience working with herbs had said he was open to working with the government, giving it permission to test his treatment.

“What can also be done” he adds “is that they get closer to us, the doctors and myself, and we will explain to them how the patient reacts to treatment. This is what is important.”

Regarding his expertise, he says he has studied the plants he uses with great attention and they are in no way toxic.

“…I can give these plants to patients without fear” says Kleda.

Last week the Douala Archbishop said over 500 persons had been treated with the use of his herbal treatment. Despite sending a team to meet with the prelate, government is yet to make any official statement on the product which is fast gaining grounds nationwide.
