The population of Bambili are yet to come to terms with the death of one of theirs, a retired uniform officer who had put in many years in the Cameroon military.
This family head whose name we got as KAMCHU was killed on the night of Sunday breaking Monday July 25, 2022 at his home in Bambili.
Relatives believe he was gunned down by separatist fighters.
“He started working before the crisis erupted. Why kill him? Did they expect him to abandon his job? If he did, would the Amba fighters have given him another job, this is just unfair,” a relative to the deceased lamented.
In the same light, MMI gathered that suspected separatist fighters recently burnt down a house in Bambui belonging to a uniformed officer working in Bambili.
Separatist fighters it should be recalled continue to combat the forces of law and order and their families. They accuse them of siding with the Biya regime, réticent to grant their breakaway state.
