“As a man, big brother and father, I regret everything that has happened…” Martin Camus Mimb

Douala-based pressman, Martin Camus Mimb has rendered a heartfelt apology, over a week after he got entangled in a sex tape scandal.

Martin Camus accompanied by his wife in a press conference in Douala today, said he regretted all the steps he took, and was seeking forgiveness from Malicka, the lady embroiled in the scandal.

Acknowledging that her dignity and honor had been violated, Martin Camus, said all he could do was beg for forgiveness. “I beg your pardon. As a man, big brother and father, I regret everything that has happened. I pray to the Lord to strengthen you and allow you to go through this stage while maintaining faith and confidence in life” he pleaded.

The lady’s family, he went on, had also gotten their share of the embarrassment: “I imagine your pain and anger seeing your child’s privacy exposed and made public this way. I don’t know if you have the strength to forgive, but I humbly ask you to”.

The radio journalist extended his apology to persons living with disability and his colleagues, most of whom look up to him as a role model and father figure. His publishing house, he added, was also on the list of many others he disappointed.

He said: “… to you my friends who have supported me in good faith and you feel betrayed. I deeply regret and promise to make efforts to deserve your precious friendship”.

“Finally, to my wife here and my children, I ask forgiveness. Sorry for making your life hell…. our current life has become hell, I don’t wish that on anyone” he stated, as he broke down in tears.

In addition to turning to God and living a righteous life henceforth, Camus said he was taken a new trajectory in life and media as a whole.

“From this day on,” he declared, “my social media accounts (Facebook; Instagram) will remain inactive”.

“I humbly turn to the Lord and say to him: I come to you Lord. In your mercy and your infinite goodness, you always forgive. I kneel down in front of you and pray” he added.

The journalist’s apology comes shortly after he was dragged to court for violation of Malicka’s privacy by a battery of lawyers fronting for the lady.

In the past days, he has not only lost support, but has also lost endorsements, as his publishing house pulled his books off the market.

Malicka, her family and lawyers are yet to comment on the new development.
