Atanga Nji orders Littoral Governor to punish Cameroonian for describing Biya as ‘badluck’

Paul Atanga Nji, Minister of Territorial Administration has called on the Littoral Governor to take action in sanctioning Equinox TV.

He made the request in a note to the Littoral Governor, signed on November 11, 2022.

According to Paul Atanga Nji, the request is in reaction to some statements made a few days back in the course of the program “Equinox soirée” during the celebration of the 40th anniversary of Paul Biya’s stay in power.

In the note, the MINAT boss reiterated that the statement “Mr Biya one of the bad lucks Cameroon has ever known” is offensive and defamatory.

In this light, he went ahead to beckon the Governor to take immediate actions which include the suspension of Engelbert Lebon from all activities at the said media house.

This is not the first time the Minister is hitting hard at the media and Equinox in particular through the Littoral governor.

He has in the past, also made similar moves against human rights bodies and NGOs seeking good governance.
