In the aftermath of the fallout between the Minister of Territorial Administration, Paul Atanga Nji, and some International Non-Governmental Organizations, the minister has now ordered for these Organizations to submit a required number of documents showing their legality of operation in Cameroon.
In a communiqué released by the Territorial Administration Ministry on August 26, the Organizations were ordered to bring amongst other documents an authorization document to prove the associations’ legality in Cameroon, copies of the Organizations constitution, the location of the associations’ headquarters, and the complete lists of the company workers.
Relations between Minister Paul Atanga Nji and Non-Governmental Organizations became frosty earlier on when the minister accused such Organizations of supporting the Ambazonian Fighters in the Anglophone regions.
The statement of the minister was made after a report which was released by Human Rights Watch which revealed Government forces for carrying out civilian massacres in the Anglophone Regions, an accusation which was strongly refuted by the Minister.
