Some individuals have raised concerns about the genuineness of some travel consultancy companies after being deceived.
“Before I travelled, I bought flight ticket from Blessing Travel Consultancy which was first in Mile 16 Buea and now moved to Douala,” a customer notes.
The manager, he says, however issued a fake flight ticket for Ethiopian Airlines without his knowledge.
“On the day of my departure very early in the morning he called and informed me that the flight has been postponed. We insisted and arrived the airport just to realise that the ticket was fake”.
The consultancy agency manager, we are told, later disappeared into thin air, making away with FCFA 710 000 paid for the ticket.
The supposed action by the consultancy agency manager is not new, as several others have complained of being victims of similar schemes in their attempts to travel out of the country.
