Ayah Foundation seeks Kamto’s legal aid in case against Nkongho Success, others

On May 12 2020 the first court session pitting Ayah Ayah and the Ayah International Foundation against Nkongho Success, Ernest Obama and a host of others was supposed to take place in Yaounde.

The accused however are said to have missed out on the session. With the next hearing coming up, the Ayah Foundation is taking its preparation to another level.

The humanitarian organization renowned for its work in the troubled North West and South West regions says it is soliciting the legal services of Prof Maurice Kamto.

“Maurice Kamto will defend us as a lawyer. Kamto is carrying our case… I am happy to announce that he we will request that he should be on my legal team” media reports quote the Ayah Foundation head.

Though Kamto is yet to comment, words on his confirmation are expected anytime soon.

Weeks back when announcing the decision to go to court, Ayah Ayah Abine said he was prepared to take the case to the international level if need be. His declaration came after the Ayah Foundation was accused of aiding separatist fighters in the North West and South West regions.
