Babessi market day ends prematurely after soldiers kill Amba fighter

All was going well in Babessi this Saturday before soldiers showed up and reportedly shot dead an Ambazonian commander.

Babessi is a Sub-division in Ngohketunjia in the restive North West region of Cameroon.

Sources in Babessi say the shooting started at midday, scaring locals from the market and other public joints.

“Many are gripped with fear, we can’t stand the sounds of the defending gunshots,” said a local.

Streets are now deserted.
