Back-to-School: UBa prepares for digital learning

Some 105 newly recruited lecturers at the University of Bamenda are taking part in a three-day pedagogic seminar to acquire knowledge on how to use the university’s digital platforms to give out lectures.

At the start of the training Wednesday, October 13, the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Bamenda, Prof. Theresa Nkou Akenji called on the lecturers to be assiduous in the discharge of their duties and avoid plagiarism and respect the rules and regulations guiding the University of Bamenda and higher education.

“We were talking to them about what is expected of them at the University of Bamenda telling them about our university’s digital development centre”, the VC said.

According to the Vice-Chancellor, the digital development centre is going to go operational soon and when that happens, UBa students will be able to follow lectures from other state universities thereby mitigating the problem of classroom space, security challenges, and Covid-19 in the university milieu.

The University of Bamenda recently resumed lectures for the 2021/2022 academic year.
