Bafmeng defeats Bang bullets to claim North West trophy
The North West Regional mini-interpoles finals have concluded with Bafmeng United emerging champions after an unprecedented run of fixtures to the top of the league.
The boys from Menchum won the title after dominating the Bang Bullets of Nkambe 2-1 at the Bambili university stadium on July 9, 2023 in the presence of the Governor of the North West Region, Adolphe Lele l’Afrique.
Bafmeng’s United’s unprecedented victory was by no means no fluke, given the obstacles they faced to clinching the title. Bafmeng United barely made it out of the group stage thanks to a positive goal difference.
From there, they never looked back, till their nail biting encounter with the Bang Bullets of Nkambe, who were considered favourites ahead of the encounter.
The victory over the Nkambe boys means Bafmeng United will represent the North West Region in the upcoming national interpoles.
