Commercial motorbike riders in Bambili, North West region have threatened to kick against a move prohibiting them from working around the University of Bamenda.
The Tubah Brigade last night, they say, announced the riders should desist from riding in and out of the University Street, CCAST Street, and other strategic areas for their daily business.
The move from the security operatives comes shortly after separatist fighter, ‘General’ No Pity announced his presence in Bambili.
Security is said to have also been beefed up at numerous checkpoints in the area.
The decision taken by the Tubah gendarmerie has not gone down well with the riders who are said to have held an emergency meeting to brainstorm on the way forward.
The self-styled ‘General’ No Pity, it should be recalled, claimed responsibility for a series of attacks on government forces in what was a bloody weekend in the North West and South West regions of the country.
