Bambili: CCAST female student cheats death after stealing phone


A form five student of cast Bambili has cheated death in Bambili after surviving serious beatings from an angry mob.

The female student was beaten, robbed in mud and humiliated July 27th after she was caught stealing a phone, Iphone XR, from the neighbors house at mile 10 Bambili.

The student’s whose name can only be got as Ernestine, a lady in her early twenties have been so much involved in a flamboyant lifestyle that she can’t afford.


Described by many as a slay queen, Ernestine is said to have been a lady who likes partying, hanging out with boys and partying, all activities that do not match with her socio economic standards.

According to one of the neighbors of Ernestine, Misper, Ernestine wanted to show off. “She always tells me about how all her friends have this or that expensive phone, shoe or clothes. At times she borrows them and wears when she has an event. She has been telling me that she needs to have a god phone. She was stealing this phone just to show off” said Misper
“When I heard that they were beating a thief, I thought it was some hard criminal just to reach here and discover it this lady. Everyone knows her. She always wants to be who she is not” said Nestor.


Ernestine was pardoned by the angry mob given that she just a young lady carried away by her thirst to lives a double lifestyle. Students in Bambili have ventured so much into living a double life so much that stealing, borrowing and times begging of fashionable items like shoes, pants, make up, perfume and related items just t hang out looking like some who is rich or from a rich family. Female students are most victims, falling prey to scammers who often exploit their gullibility.
