At least 9 persons killed as ADF attacks Nacho Junction

Editor's Note: A subsequent investigation by MMI confirmed that the killings were carried out by separatist fighters led by the Ambazonia Defence Forces (ADF) led by self-styled General JC (Funwi Christopher) dressed in military attire. This report was therefore edited accordingly.

Nine people have lost their lives following an attack by fighters belonging to the Ambazonia Defence Forces (ADF). They were led by a self-styled General JC, whose real name is Funwi Christopher. The attack took place at Nacho Junction in Bamenda, North West Region of Cameroon. The ADF is the military wing of the Ambazonia Governing Council (AgovC) led by Norway-based Ayaba Cho Lucas.

That bloody attack took place a few moments ago, leaving several others in critical condition.

“We were sitting in a bar when some armed men stormed the area and began shooting,” a source told MMI.

The victims, according to sources, comprised both male and female civilians.

The motives and the authors of the gruesome act remain unknown at the moment.

This comes a few days after five young civilians were killed by government forces in Bamenda.
