Bamenda Central Prison: Inmate suspected of killing others with Insecticide

Recently this news portal reported the death of four inmates at the Bamenda Central Prison

As we continue to follow up on this story, It is imaging that after visitors visited the prison with food (water fufu and eru) about a week ago, the food was taken into the prison where an inmate introduced a poisonous substance into food.

As reported four have been confirmed dead while others are still under intensive care at the hospital.

In the meantime, a poisonous substance is reported to have been discovered under the bed of one of the prisoners. “After examination at the Bamenda Regional Hospital,  it was dictated as an insecticide,” a reliable source in the hospital told MMI.

The prison inmate accused of the act has been interrogated. Though back in prison, further investigations have been opened.

MMI is reliably informed that the four are to be buried this week.
