Bamenda: Church prays for speedy recovery of bedridden City council mayor

Christians of Overcomers Chapel, a Bamenda-based pentecostal church, have been praying for the quick recovery of their Resident Pastor Achoumbong Tambeng Paul, who doublesBamenda City Council Mayor

The mayor reportedly suffered a stroke recently and has been missing from the public.

He was not seen at the Bamenda grandstand during celebration, marking the 2023 National Unity Day on May 20.

Sources at the Bamenda City Council say Mayor Achumbong Paul Tambeng, who is also Pastor of Overcomers Chapel church, “has not shown up for work since he had a malaise.”

During a church service on Sunday June 11th 2023, christians of Overcomers Chapel “committed Achumbong Tambeng Paul’s health into the God’s hands — asking for a quick recovery and for him to regain his health and keep helping the people of Bamenda.”

However, a source at the Bamenda City Council told MMI without further details that “the mayor’s health is now improving.”

The entire MMI team wishes the mayor a quick recovery!
