Bamenda: Man dies in a boat while extracting sand

This man, whose name MMI got as Nyanga Desmond, aka Longue, reportedly died as he extracted sand from a river in Santchou, West Region of Cameroon Monday afternoon.
Longué is a native of Tingho-Obang Valley, Mezam Division in the Northwest region.

Longué who is a seasoned diver apparently also lost his younger brother to that same river some two months ago.

Many persons close to the deceased think that this is far from being a natural phenomenon. Many are of the opinion that this is far more supernatural than coincidental for a sibling to die and another to follow suit in an almost exact manner.

Persons closer to the victim in Santchou, however, said that efforts to get to the victim’s family have been futile so far.

Nonetheless, they hope that with the circulation of the information of what happened to the diver, information may reach his family members so that he could be retrieved for proper burial.
