Bamenda: Military officers intercept corpse heading to Bali for burial

Gendarme officers have intercepted and stopped a corpse from being taken to its village of origin in Bali Nyongha.

“The situation has been tense from Hospital Roundabout where the hearse was stopped by the uninformed men because the driver of the car carrying the corpse was on phone. They equally insisted on searching everything that accompanied the procession,” a witness familiar with the story told Mimi Mefo Info.

They are reportedly on the lookout against any potential smuggling of weapons and explosives between the regions and towns.

Faced with such adversity, the members of the procession summoned the courage to stand up to these Gendarmes, which has further worsened the situation and made the outcome unpredictable henceforth.
