Residents of the Alabukam vicinity of Bamenda, regional capital of Cameroon’s restive North West regions fled their homes earlier today.
This is linked to incessant gun battles pitting soldiers and separatist fighters in the area.
The military is said to have in line with its crusade against Amba fighters invaded the neighbourhood at sunrise today.
Most of the residents have gone into hiding.
At the moment, it is difficult to establish if there have been any casualties.
