Bamenda: Suspected separatist dies, another injured as home of CPDM Mezam 1B section president burnt.

The home of the Mezam 1b section president of the Cameroon Peoples Democratic Movement (CPDM) party, Cletus Anye Matoya has been burnt.

The house located in the Ntarinkon neighborhood, in an area popularly known as K – Place in Bamenda 2 subdivision was burnt this evening by gunmen, believed to be separatist fighters.                                        

It is not clear yet what might have transpired but MMI is informed that one of the attackers was burnt to death in the house while another sustained injuries from the fire and is currently at the hospital.         

So far, no official statement has been made regarding the incident that happened today. Cletus Anye Matoya is also the General Manager of the North West Development Authority with the acronym MIDENO.
