Bamenda: Two Unidentified Corpses Discovered In Less Than 24 hours

By Soulemanu Buba

Two corpses have been discovered in Nkwen, Bamenda III Sub Division, North West Region of Cameroon.

The two unidentified bodies were found in less than 24 hours (on Monday and Tuesday).

Both lifeless bodies were discovered between Monday, December 19 and Tuesday, December 20, 2022.

The first corpse was reportedly found at the bridge linking Ndamukong and Cow street on Monday Morning.

Meanwhile, the population of Ntahmuche got up Tuesday morning to a macabre discovery of a dismembered dead body.

It is not known wether he was stabbed or shot.

The identities of the victims and the perpetrators have not yet been established.

Dumping of dead bodies is a usual occurrence in Bamenda since Anglophone crisis morphed into an armed conflict.

It is alleged that some suspected separatists were killed in military operations around Bamenda recently.

However, it is unclear whether those killed were as a result of military operations.

Some denizens blame both incidents on rising insecurity in Bamenda — as the festive Christmas period draws near.

Over the weekend, heavily armed men reportedly harassed tens of persons in Ndamukong — confisticating huge sums of money and other valuables from victims.
