Bamenda: Young man on the run after reportedly killing friend during argument

MMI has learned that a young man in Bamenda, who has been identified as Godlove Nsaibohti Chin, is on the run after killing his friend, Lawir Abdel, on February 15.

The two friends are said to have been in a heated argument, when Godlove smashed Abdel’s head with a stone, leaving him to his death.

“… I am told Abdel and Godlove got into an argument which almost broke into a physical fight when they were still with their other friends… They were however quickly separated, and they seemingly patched things up,” the deceased’s older brother told MMI.

“…after hitting Abdel on the head, he left him there for death, and has fled to an unknown location… He was rushed to the hospital by passersby in a bid to save his life, which proved futile at the end anyway,” he added.

The alleged murderer is said to have disappeared from Bamenda, and his communication lines have ever since been unreachable.

Our sources also said that this was not the first violent incident Godlove Nsaibohti has been involved in, adding that many people have been victims of his brutality.

Relatives of the deceased Lawir Abdel are pleading with the public to help fish out the murderer of their son and deliver him to law enforcement officers.
