Banjoun: Suspected murderer surrenders to authorities

Alain Fotso has surrendered to the police in Banjoun, West region of Cameroon Wednesday, April 21, 2021. This comes three days after his wife Arianne Fotso was found dead in their house.

Locals accused the husband of beating her to death, an accusation that urged him to escape.

Locals say Alain was noted for constantly abusing the wife physically since their official wedding six months ago.

The body of the wife is in the mortuary while the husband, the suspected murderer, is in police custody.

The police have opened an investigation to get to the root cause of the incident.
