One of Cameroon’s finest lawyers, Barrister Alice Nkom has praised President Macky Sall’s decision not to stand in for another term as president.
She praised him in a tweet this morning, following the decision made by the West African head of state to respect his country’s constitution and not to plunge Senegal into another crisis.
Barrister Alice Tweeted “Thank you very much Mr President for your inspiring example in the respect for democracy and the desire to heed to the will of the people. You have just entered into history through the big door…”
President Macky Sall’s decision not to stand for the upcoming elections comes after a wave of political uprising had taken over Dakar. Massive protests had been staged in te country’s capital, mostly made up of youths, asking him to step down in respect to the constitution.
